Hi guys, Anyone willing to share a photo of their CAI? Whether it is to be DIY or done by workshop. or maybe share with everyone which workshop and what type of CAI did you do? If DIY how do you go about doing it? hehe Help all bros here that are interested in doing up their CAI but have not done it (including myself ). Happy sharing & Learning

Bro, diy must remove bumper to get to the resonator box. Then remove piping and reinstall flexible duct pipe. Thinking of diying it, but not really sure how to remove bumper safely. Thinking of doing simota carbon air charger too..

dun use carbon charger... try to add direct to the current air filter box... Best is to drill and keep the funnel at the bumper!

Bro, tot funnel at bumper, as in drill hole in bumper and direct connection to the air box will tend to introduce more dirt particles and water when it's raining? For me, I would rather have the cai positioned perpendicular to the bumper and intake opening wrapped with metal gauze to prevent dirt from entering and don't connect directly to airbox but leave a distance just in case water is also ingested. Gonna do a heatshield box with aluminium sheet covering dedicated to the intake area coz notice that area is always particularly hot after driving.

bro, if water gets in so easliy, mine ride long ago need to change intake manifold.. the effective way for the CAI to function is direct to the filter and the funnel should be outside of the bumper, instead of hiding them in it...

LoL! Yours not funnel to bumper ext ma. Also I believe yours is also facing perpandicular to bumper and gap between cai and pod, hence the heatshield box?

to leave a gap, the air sucked in will be slightly hotter air then directly from outside as due to the the gap it will suck in air from the area of the gap and not the air from outside isn't it?
unless if you do the heat shield box but. isn't it consider open pod as you have to remove your stock box and replace with the heat shield box? let that maybe can consider as semi-flow? and one tube will not be enough?
i notice if you want to use heat shield to cover up the stock box area there isn't enough space to complete seal it up, only can cover to wayang. If not completely seal then also no point covering with heat shield, hot air will still enter the area and if you leave a gap become no difference.
the only way is to remove our stock box and build a heat shield box. if you want to really lower the heat and leave gap to prevent water sucked in?
correct me if I am wrong or wrongly phrase >.<
bro mas can take a picture for us newbie to see? hehe

I don a good live sample but am willing to assist in taking some photo-shoot with my 2 mega-pixel camera..

meetup show you! Bro clement, heat shielded the filter is because i am running on a AT transmission but using open pod.. If you shield it up, the response and low end do not suffer much compared to purely using open pod!
