Pulsar is rendering his kind mental support... thou he may sound alittle crude. Please pardon him. Whom he directed at, was the Civic.

Single lane with wide road shoulder and...other party "squeeze" thru road divider hit and run .... What a dumbass...Simply alot of dumbass drivers on the roads nowadays...not like our Masquerade, gracefully squeezing between 2 adjacent cabs while behind a lorry and easily speeding off into the distance leaving us flabergasted spectators gaping in awe. If we catch him, I'll make him take lessons from our bro Masquerade before trying any stunts only our bro Mas is qualified to perform. Cheer up kelpepper, the fella will get his just desserts. Catch him and sue his panties off.

vy suay...heard from authorities tat driver was caught for drink n drive after he hit on me ...his insurance wont pay .... think my ncd n claim sure affected.. any 1 of u all had such experience? Unless I'm sorely mistaken, the fact that he was caught for drink driving puts you in a almost sure win position, as in 99.5%. 1) Did you go for a check up after the accident, any serious injuries, whiplash, back pain, giddyness, etc... stuff like that in a medical report? Any medical certificate? 2) Was his car impounded esp since he was reported to be involved in a hit and run plus drink driving? If what you reported gels with the paint marks and point of impact damage to your car and his, you have a rock solid case, esp strong based on the fact that he was caught drink driving, and 99% of liability will fall on him in the eyes of the law. 3) Any passenger in your car at time of accident and did he or she go for a medical checkup as point 1? Assuming 2 is as I said, then I suppose the best course now is to talk with your insurance if they are willing to put your case and ncd on hold until this matter is settle, with the possibility of settling the damages yourself(if you manage to claim back from him) Logical course of action is to look for a lawyer experienced with this sort of cases and file a legal suit against him for damages, and when I say damages, I mean damages(car repair, loss of income, time lost, medical fees, possible future medical complications, phsycological fear of driving, etc...your lawyer should be able to advise you your options). This course of action must of course be backed up with black and white. Optional is that your insurance/workshop can hire it's own lawyer to file a personal lawsuit against him, that's if you didn't make any medical report, no medical certificate, no doctor's letter, etc... This option will save you the hassle and time where the only thing you will gain is damages for car repairs, time lost, lawyer fees, income loss...) won't amount to too much but will save you the legal hassle. Make sure you let your workshop know how much in compensation you are expecting to get back if you're not too familiar with them and they have to consult you on the total damages they are going to claim and how much of it is going to the repairs. If you require any assistance in this, can pm me. I charge only a small fee of 5% of total damages awarded. =P

Haha, you're welcome.
Well, it's 2k, not a big or small amt, but the point why should you be the one to face the consequences(fork out 2k, lose NCD, waste time, effort and sleep on something that's not your fault)?
End of the day, the least is to claim back the 2k, negate the loss of ncd, the cost of rental vehicle, whatever loss of income and leave/effort, cost of transportation and abit more. Not too overboard, but at least about 4-5K minimum to cover all these.
And also, alot of vehicle accidents might have unseen future complications. Maybe due to this, touch wood, future back or neck problems develop you also dunno.

Of coz cannot to them, if you only claim the repair costs then then will earn the rest depending on how they fight the case. If they insist on not compensating you for your loss of time/expenses.. etc....tell the you will look for a second opinion. I say, look for another solicitor for advice. Confirm can claim all these things. It's a minumum since you're claiming from their insurance, nothing to do with TCM. Most important, have you accepted the TCM solicitor's offer?
