Have to agree with you as I sat in my friend's car before too. No first hand experience with the details and intricacies but the thing that strikes me originally is the name, which I first likened to syphyllis. Not sure of the logic of naming a car something so close sounding to a virulent virus. But name aside, seems like a great car, other than the undersized engine.

Hey all seniors... Thank you so much for so "giving face" to my humble ride and also yr valuable comments. erm, now just want to find a spoiler to add to the back booth cover but don't know where to buy. I am already 37 yrs Liao and may look bit uncle driving the sylphy, so thinking add a spoiler to reduce the uncle factor. Hehehe...

nobunaga is right, fujitsubo is the only legal exhaust for skyline in singapore (from what i recall) actually it has some minor mods, including that exhaust already for the engine. 400hp at engine. Im going to use it as daily driver anyway, hope to tune it to save fuel. and I calculated the expenses already.

400 HP ? save fuel ?? pls pardon me for saying, pls dont flame me for commenting, some say, if U want MORE POWER, U gotta BURN more petrol... some say, if U get a PERFORMANCE ride, U gotta THROW FC aside... some say, if might as well keep your good old korean ride, if u want good fuel saving...... take it with a pinch of salt nobunaga is right, fujitsubo is the only legal exhaust for skyline in singapore (from what i recall) actually it has some minor mods, including that exhaust already for the engine. 400hp at engine. Haha, stick!!! Your bold really d**n bold.
Anyway, yes in some instances, increased power can actually save fuel.
E.g, previously changed my exhaust to a 4-2 2-1, 2" straight through exhaust with optional outlet(if you know what I mean), power increased(regained), but somehow, for that duration, I was experiencing a nice increased km/l for a more powerful ride. Was attributing it to the japanese engines running rich and restrictive flows, so with the restriction removed, and with the same amount of fuel, more power is able to be utilized at a better rateby the engine(regain, which translate to increase in SG terms), and distance travelled is further, hence experienced more power with less fuel.
FYI before exhaust change out I was running 11.0-11.5, after exhaust change out I was running like 13-14km/l. No other additions or whatnots.
Of coz, I'm talking about regains, not engine capacity so I suppose I was running at optimal settings for that duration for a 1.6.
As to bigger capacity cars, definitely more fuel will be used for more power, but whether it's utilized efficiently or not is another story. Once you add turbos into the picture, it can be taken as extra capacity, more air in the chamber = more fuel needed to drive the combustion to prevent blowout, hence when it's a 2L turbo, it probably drinks like a 2.5L and so on...Therefore more power = more fuel.
Not so for my humble normally aspirated ride. =P

R34GTT , RB25DET? VERY SORRY BUT come on, HOW THE f**k TO SAVE PETROL???VERY SORRY AGAIN, but if i wanna save petrol, i wouldnt be even looking @ a TURBO car, let alone it 2.5LITRE? my friend's EDM STi (GRF), he told me, best FC during running-in; 5.0km/l, doing 0 boost! sorry but. pls dun flame me lar. some say,... take it with a pinch of salt. if 1 pinch of salt isnt enough, take 2 pinch, instead.... anyway liao.
