Hi guys, I've just spoken to HCA Hospice Care. They are a registered charity that provides comfort and supports to patients with life-limiting illnesses. So far, more than 37,000 patients have benefitted from their services since HCA was founded in 1989. HCA provides a home care service to more than 3,200 patients annually; the doctors and nurses made more than 37,000 home visits to these patients just last year. Their day care centre serves more than 700 patients every year and they made more than 5,600 visits to the centres last year. HCA provides home care services free of charge. What they actually need besides donations are volunteer work. I am suggesting to hold an event, be it a charity drive, home visitation and so on, for them. It would be a one day event, most probably saturday, and if anyone wants to join as a volunteer, they'll be more than happy for your help. I'll liaise with them for the details, but meanwhile, would need to see who is interested in such an event to raise public awareness and also to give what we can back to the society. So here's the list, i'll get things rolling. For more information, visit www.hca.org.sg/Interested Volunteers 1) Jon aka Takumice 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10)
